Making a Reservation
We are glad you are planning a stay at Lotus Papua Paradise. To complete your booking, simply select your preferred room type along with your check-in and check-out dates and number of guests. We have 6 Premier Bungalows (with air conditioning), 10 Deluxe Bungalows, and 10 Superior Bungalows, all set within the heart of Raja Ampat.
Your reservation is confirmed once you receive a confirmation email containing your booking reference and stay details. Please review everything carefully before confirming. If anything needs adjusting, get in touch with us as soon as possible and we will be happy to help.
Reservations are made in the name of the primary guest and are non-transferable without prior agreement from Lotus Papua Paradise.
Cancellations and Changes
We understand that plans sometimes change. Our general cancellation policy is as follows:
- Cancellations received 90 to 61 days before the arrival date will be subject to a fee equal to 10% of the full length of stay.
- Cancellations received 60 to 46 days before the arrival date will be subject to a fee equal to 25% of the full length of stay.
- Cancellations received 45 to 31 days before the arrival date will be subject to a fee equal to 50% of the full length of stay.
- Cancellations received 30 to 16 days before the arrival date will be subject to a fee equal to 75% of the full length of stay.
- Cancellations received 15 days or less before the arrival date will be subject to a fee equal to 100% of the full length of stay.
- In the event of a no-show or early departure, the reservation will be subject to a cancellation fee equal to the full length of stay.
Date changes are treated as cancellations and require a new booking. Any new booking is subject to availability and the applicable booking terms at the time of request.
Given the remote location of the resort, we strongly encourage guests to purchase comprehensive travel insurance before their trip to cover unforeseen changes or disruptions to travel plans.

Check-In and Check-Out
Room check-in is usually arranged around the scheduled boat transfer from Sorong and may take place around 2:00 PM or 3:00 PM, depending on arrival timing and room readiness. Your confirmed arrival, departure, and transfer details will be shared with you before your stay.
On arrival, a welcome drink and face towel will be prepared as a warm welcome to the island.
If you have any special requests regarding your arrival or departure arrangements, please let us know in advance. Requests are subject to availability and may be subject to an additional charge.
Please have your booking confirmation and a valid form of identification ready upon check-in.
Currencies and Payment
We accept cash payments in US Dollars (USD) and Euros (EUR), as well as credit card payments via Visa and Mastercard. All transactions are processed in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR).
Please note that Raja Ampat is a very remote destination with no ATMs or banking facilities on the island. We strongly recommend arriving with sufficient cash to cover personal expenses throughout your stay.
Rates are based on the selected package, booking channel, and applicable terms at the time of reservation. Government taxes, service charges, and any additional fees will be communicated clearly before your booking is confirmed.

Getting Here and Boat Transfers
Lotus Papua Paradise is located on Birie Island in Raja Ampat, approximately 15 minutes by car from Sorong Domestic Airport to Sorong Harbour, followed by a 2-hour resort boat transfer to the island.
Due to the remote nature of the resort, boat transfers operate on a fixed daily schedule. The resort provides one scheduled boat transfer per day from Sorong Harbour to Lotus Papua Paradise, and one scheduled return transfer per day from the resort to Sorong. Transfers operate at a fixed time and price, with no minimum number of guests required.
The resort boat from Sorong departs at 2:00 PM. We strongly advise scheduling your arriving flight to land in Sorong no later than 12:00 PM to ensure you are able to board the transfer. Guests arriving after 12:00 PM will be required to stay overnight in Sorong and take the next available boat transfer.
The return boat from the resort to Sorong departs at 7:00 AM. The earliest accepted flight departure from Sorong is 10:30 AM. Guests with a scheduled departure before 10:30 AM will be transferred to Sorong one day in advance.
Airport and boat transfers can be arranged through our reservations team. Please let us know your full flight schedule when booking so we can plan your transfer accordingly.
What’s Included in Your Stay
All bungalows at Lotus Papua Paradise include an overhead fan and pedestal fan, mosquito net, a private bathroom with hot and cold freshwater shower, an open veranda with sunbed, mini fridge, safe deposit box, complimentary drinking water, and coffee and tea making facilities. Premier Bungalows additionally feature air conditioning, a double sink vanity, and a bathtub.
Complimentary satellite Wi-Fi is available at the area and is well suited for emails and general web browsing. Purified drinking water, evening turn-down service, and concierge and ticketing confirmation are all included during your stay. Please note that our laundry services is chargeable.
Meals are served buffet style at the Sunset Restaurant, with a wide selection of Indonesian and international dishes as well as fresh tropical fruit. Soft drinks, local beer, cocktails, and wine are available at the Sunset Bar and are charged separately.
Diving with Lotus Divers
Lotus Papua Paradise is home to a Lotus Divers facility, operating to the highest PADI standards of safety and personalised service. All dive guides are professionally trained, and the maximum ratio is 4 divers to 1 guide. Raja Ampat is home to over 1,300 fish species and 540 coral species, making it the richest coral reef ecosystem in the world.
Nitrox 32% is available free of charge for Nitrox-certified divers. Rental equipment is provided by ScubaPro, Mares and maintained to the highest standards. All diving and snorkelling activities are subject to weather and sea conditions, and our team will advise accordingly. We recommend booking your dives in advance to secure your preferred schedule.
Eco Resort and Environment
Lotus Papua Paradise is built on a pristine island within one of the most biodiverse marine environments on earth. We ask all guests to be mindful of the natural environment throughout their stay, both above and below the water. Please do not touch, take or feed any wildlife in the ocean or on land, including fish, sharks, , manta rays, turtles, corals, shells, couscous, birds etc, or natural materials from the islands or reefs.
The resort operates with a strong commitment to sustainability and conservation with the local communities and environmental laws. We ask guests to respect local customs, support the communities they encounter, and travel in the spirit of responsible and sustainable tourism that defines Raja Ampat.
Guest Responsibility
Lotus Papua Paradise is a peaceful retreat in a remote and pristine natural environment. We ask all guests to be respectful of the property, the surrounding nature, and fellow guests, particularly during the evenings. Any damage to property or facilities caused during a guest’s stay may be charged accordingly.
Lotus Papua Paradise cannot be held responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings during your stay. We recommend using your in-room safe deposit box for valuables. Guests use all property facilities at their own risk.
The tropical climate in Raja Ampat sits between 28 and 30°C. Please take care in the sun, stay hydrated during outdoor activities, and do not hesitate to speak with our team if you need anything during your stay.
Photography
Personal photography for non-commercial use is warmly welcomed throughout the property and on all excursions. With the remarkable wildlife, coral reefs, and landscapes of Raja Ampat surrounding you, we understand the urge to capture every moment. If you share your photos online, we would love it if you tagged us.
Commercial photography or video production on the premises requires prior written consent from Lotus Papua Paradise management. Drone usage is not permitted without approval in line with local regulations.
