Dive sites

Lotus Divers guides dives in 50+ sites across Bali, Nusa Penida, and Lembongan. Explore dramatic ocean topography, catch thrilling drifts, and encounter a plethora of marine life year-round. Whether you’re just starting out or taking your diving deeper, there are dives for every level.

Snorkelling in Bali

You don’t need a tank to discover Indonesia’s underwater world. Explore Bali’s best snorkel sites with Lotus Divers, including Padang Bai, Tulamben, Nusa Penida, and more. Our expert team safely guides you through coral gardens and sunken wrecks where turtles, manta rays, and even reef sharks are often sighted.

We provide all equipment and support, so all you have to do is show up. While we can do dedicated snorkelling-only trips for larger groups by request, most of our snorkelling tours run alongside our dive trips. April through November offers the clearest visibility, but snorkelling is a year-round activity that brings you closer to Indonesia’s incredible marine life.

Safety Standards

Dive with peace of mind knowing your safety is our top priority

01

Compressor and Nitrox Setup

  • Bauer 250 & Coltri Mch 16
  • Renner / Novair Nitrox Membrane
02

Emergency Equipment on site

Each boat has a First Aid cabinet, life vests for all guests (including junior sizes), and long-range marine radios. Every guide carries their own First Aid boxes. There are 3 DAN jumbo emergency oxygen units.

03

Emergency Protocols

Our dive team and boat captains train in emergency procedures and refresh this training annually. The nearest decompression chamber is 30 minutes from the dive centre, and we hold partner agreements with local clinics for a faster response.

04

Equipment Standards

Certified divers dive on free Nitrox, with analysers brought on every trip. Key equipment such as BCDs, regulators, dive computers, and wetsuits comes from high-end brands including Aqualung, ScubaPro, and Mares. Regulators are serviced annually, tanks are visually inspected annually, and hydrostatic pressure testing is carried out in line with manufacturer and local regulations.

05

Guide-to-diver ratios

Our standard ratio is a maximum of 4 divers per guide, keeping groups small so guides can give attentive supervision, adapt each dive to guest experience levels, and maintain high safety and environmental standards. Private guides and private dive trips are available on request.

06

Medical / Fitness Requirements

All divers are required to complete a health self-declaration through a PADI medical questionnaire before diving, to help ensure the safety and wellbeing of every guest, guide, and dive group.

07

Other Safety Highlights

  • Refresher or check dive required for divers who haven’t been in the water for 12–24 months, with scope depending on experience level and time away from diving
  • All dive staff and boat crew trained in Emergency First Response (EFR); dive guides are also trained as emergency oxygen providers
  • Regular safety and emergency procedure training conducted by the dive centre team
  • Free Nitrox offered to certified divers to support more conservative dive planning and reduce nitrogen loading during repetitive diving days
  • Dive profiles monitored to respect no-decompression limits and each diver’s certification depth limits
  • Dive boats docked and serviced annually
