Days on the island are unhurried, offering excellent diving and snorkelling, island excursions, and quiet afternoons on private sandbanks. These experiences combine marine exploration with authentic cultural discovery in one of Indonesia’s most remote regions.

Snorkelling

The waters surrounding Southwest Morotai offer exceptional snorkelling, with vibrant coral plateaus right on the doorstep of Lotus Metita Island. An extensive house reef stretches directly from the beach, featuring healthy coral formations that become especially striking along the drop-off, where the reef gently slopes into deep blue waters.

Snorkellers can regularly encounter sea turtles, bumphead parrotfish, Napoleon wrasse, and blacktip reef sharks in this rich marine environment.

Guests are welcome to explore independently from the beach, while guided snorkelling trips are also available. Dedicated boat excursions are offered, and snorkellers may also join selected dive trips.
