Getting Here
Lotus Metita Island sits on Metita Island, off the southern tip of Morotai, in a quiet, remote corner of Eastern Indonesia.
Most travellers fly from Jakarta, Makassar, or Manado to Ternate (TTE), then take a short domestic flight to Morotai (OTI), available on Monday and Thursday mornings. Alternatively, you can travel overland from Ternate via Sofifi and Tobelo to Metita Island in approximately 6 hours.
We are happy to coordinate your transfers. Simply send us your flight details, and we will arrange your onward connection to the island.

Diving and Snorkelling
Diving and snorkelling are at the heart of the Lotus Metita Island experience, with a vibrant house reef accessible directly from our beach.
Our dive centre caters to all experience levels, offering guided trips and courses led by our experienced, multilingual team, who assist guests in English, Indonesian, German, and French.
We offer dedicated snorkelling excursions to the region’s best shallow reefs, and snorkellers are also welcome to join our dive boats when site conditions are suitable. For certified divers, Nitrox is filled on site via our automatic membrane system.
A dedicated camera room, gear washing and drying stations, secure gear hanging area, and high-quality rental equipment are available through the dive centre. Advance notice is recommended for rental gear.
All water activities are naturally subject to weather and sea conditions, but we also offer land-based day trips to Morotai.
Eco Resort and Environment
Lotus Metita Island is dedicated to protecting our natural environment both above and below the water. We invite our guests to share in this commitment by mindfully enjoying our island and its surrounding reefs.
By conserving water and energy, avoiding single-use plastics, and leaving the underwater world undisturbed, you help us protect Metita’s fragile ecosystem.
This mindful approach extends beyond our shores, and we hope our guests carry it with them as they explore, embracing and respecting the unique culture, nature, and people of the Morotai region.
Guest Responsibility
Lotus Metita Island is a serene sanctuary. To preserve this atmosphere, we ask our guests to remain mindful of the property, the natural environment, and the peace of others.
While we maintain a secure environment, the resort cannot accept liability for the loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings, and guests use the island’s facilities at their own risk.
Please note that any damage to resort property will be billed to your account.

Personal photography for non-commercial use is warmly welcomed throughout the property and on all dive and snorkelling excursions.
